One main file and 4 game-specific override files. This is the second demo release of my work in progress UltraHD Texture pack for Doom, Doom II, Plutonia Experiment and Evilution. It is highly recommended that you download the 3rd demo and later demos as they are released so as not to have the stutters caused by GZDoom pulling the textures from PK3 files. This means there is a huge boost in performance and 99% of the stuttering/freezing present in the second demo is gone. This only works with ZDoom based ports.UPDATED: The 3rd demo has most of the textures in a file/folder format with the exception to the final Doom overrides, which are still in PK3 files as I couldn't get GZDoom to detect them in any folder I tried. It also adds a new chain gun firing sound effect which also applies to chaingunners and Spiderdemons. But if you're not aware, this pack adds new sound effects for all the enemies that use duplicate sounds that don't fit their sight sounds at all, giving each and every one their own sounds. If you've heard of the Sound Caulking mod, then you'll know exactly what this does, but on a much smaller scale and with sounds that ACTUALLY fit with everything else.

Finally, we get to the doom_sound_bulb_extras.pk3. DO NOT USE THIS FOR ZDOOM BASED PORTS! THERE IS NO NEED!ģ. However, Doom sounds are 8-bit, which means they have noise (aka quantization). This version has the same sounds, but converted to Doom's special sound format to work with pretty much any source port imaginable. If you are using a more faithful source port like PRBoom, you're going to need to use Doom_Sound_Bulb_Legacy.WAD. This allows for 16-bit files to replace the old 8-bit ones, which makes them far less noisy.Ģ. Doom_Sound_Bulb.WAD is the main file, designed for ZDoom based ports or any other ports that allow use of WAV files instead of Doom audio files. There are 3 files in the zip, so I will tell you what each of them are for.ġ. To install, you do so like any other Wad, just drag into your designated WAD folder and add the file to your ini file.
